It all began with a book. Holyburger, the latest international anthology from Stripburger magazine, opens up fundamental questions about human existence, the universe, interpersonal relationships, and society in a fresh and unconventional comic form. Now the project expands into physical space at the Alkatraz Gallery, where original comic artworks, sketches, and prints intertwine with wall paintings, objects, and multimedia installations. At the centre of it all, however, remains the book, the starting point of everything. Seven local and international artists do not offer straightforward answers but instead invite reflection on art, (blind) faith, and elusive reality. A real treat for all fans of comics and contemporary art.
