Stripburger is heading to Timișoara, Romania, to take part in the international Sit+Read Artbook Fair – a celebration of art and independent publishing that brings together artists, designers, small publishers, zine makers, comic creators, printmakers, and other lovers of printed art from near and far. In addition to the fair, which this year features more than 40 exhibitors, Sit+Read also offers a diverse accompanying programme for children and adults alike, including talks, lectures, book presentations, and workshops.
At this three-day event, held in the independent art space Indecis, Stripburger will present a selection of printed delights – from the latest international anthology Holyburger and current issues of the magazine to comic zines and graphic works by Slovenian comic artists.
Representing Stripburger in Timișoara will be Katja Štesl, comic critic and member of the editorial team, and visual artist Petja Kolenko, who will also lead a zine workshop at the fair. Participants will create visual stories using collage techniques, drawing inspiration from music.
