Stripburger at the BDFIL Festival
1–3 May 2026, Lausanne, Switzerland
In early May, Stripburger magazine will be featured at the renowned BDFIL comics festival in Lausanne, Switzerland, where we have been invited to participate in the three-day independent and small press publishers’ fair.
Our presentation at the fair, taking place from May 1st to 3rd at the Maison de quartier Sous-Gare, will showcase a selection of recent magazine issues and thematic anthologies. It will also feature a small retrospective exhibition of prints and publications spanning more than 30 years of the magazine’s history. Alongside editor Tanja Skale, the festival will be attended by Slovenian comics artist Jakob Klemenčič. As part of the festival’s accompanying program, an exhibition by Marcel Ruijters, the acclaimed Dutch artist and long-time Stripburger collaborator, will also be on display.
BDFIL is the largest comics festival in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Its extensive two-week program includes exhibitions, talks, lectures, a competition for young creators, and various other events. The festival collaborates with other cultural partners in the region and serves as a key platform for promoting comics culture to a broad audience. An important part of the festival is the three-day BDFIL micro-édition fair, the main hub for the independent comics, zine, and graphic arts scene in the region.
