After two years it’s time again for a new open call! For the upcoming issue of Stripburger #87, we are looking for narratively bold, visually vibrant short comics that stick out, push boundaries, and don’t play it safe.

- Format (vertical): 190 x 270 mm (If the artwork goes to the edge/bleed, please include a 5 mm bleed.)
- Length: 1–8 pages.
- Submissions may be in colour or black and white (and yes, we do love B&W comics!).
- No theme, no limits – surprise us!
- Language: English (or with added translation in English), wordless comics are also welcome!
- File format: TIFF or PDF (resolution: 600 dpi for B&W comics and 300 dpi for grayscale or color comics).
- Submit a low-resolution version (JPEG or PDF) for review. We will request high-resolution files for printing later.
- Please include your full name, country, a short bio (optional), and a link to your website or Instagram profile.
DEADLINE: 31 March 2026
SEND TO: hello@stripburger.org
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
We are not necessarily looking for new comics; you can also send older or self-published work, but we’d prefer that the comics have not been previously published in English in an international comics magazine or anthology.
Stripburger #87 is scheduled for release in June 2026. Selected authors will be notified by 30th April 2026.
Each published author will receive 5–10 complimentary copies of the magazine. Of course, you keep the full copyrights to publish your work anywhere else.
The editorial board reserves the right to decide on the publication or rejection of any submission at its own discretion. The editors are not obliged to provide explanations for their decisions. Due to the high volume of submissions, it may take some time to receive a reply; we thank you for your patience.
We look forward to seeing your work! Long live comix!
